EcoRally Scotland Needs You!

Round 8 of the 2025 Bridgestone FIA EcoRally Cup rolls into Scotland at the end of this month — and we need enthusiastic volunteers to help make it happen!

This exciting event is part of a global FIA series showcasing the future of motorsport, with electric and hybrid vehicles competing in a real-world road rally. It’s all about precision driving, energy efficiency, and teamwork — set against the stunning backdrop of Tayside, Fife, and Highland Perthshire.

  • A celebration of innovation and sustainability in motorsport
  • Starts in Dundee
  • Saturday 26 – Sunday 27 July

The organisers need 5-6 rally timing marshals to staff Arrival Time Controls across the route. Whether you’re an experienced marshal or just curious to get involved, this is a unique opportunity to support an FIA international event on your doorstep!

Jon went on his first rally at the age of 5 when his uncle was marshalling the Cropton Forest stage on the Lombard RAC Rally. That was in the days of Roger Clark and the all-conquering Escorts. The sounds and smells of rally cars have never lost their appeal. As an adult, working on an ambulance crew covering Cadwell Park in the mid 90s, he frequently encountered drivers who had come to an abrupt stop somewhat sooner than they had anticipated.
