Scottish motorsport talent will be on full display at Silverstone this weekend (20–21 September) as both the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) and the Porsche Sprint Challenge Great Britain roar into action.

At the heart of the Porsche battle is Hannah Chapman, who arrives at Silverstone riding a wave of success. She dominated her home round at Knockhill, storming to pole position and winning all three races in the CS Am class. That clean sweep has pushed her to an incredible nine victories from twelve races this season, strengthening her championship lead over Paul Porter.

For Chapman, 2025 has been a breakthrough season. Stepping into the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB with Xentek Motorsport, she has combined consistency with outright pace, showing the resilience and sharp racecraft that make her a genuine title contender. From her first win earlier in the year to her Knockhill treble, she has proven she can handle pressure and deliver results when it matters most.

But she won’t have it all her own way. Fellow Scot Katia Loggie is enjoying a strong rookie season with Toro Verde GT. She has her sights set on a maiden class win, and Silverstone could be the place it happens.

Alongside the Porsche battles, Scottish fans will also be treated to the headline spectacle of the BTCC, where local heroes Aiden Moffat and Gordon Shedden line up against the best touring car drivers in Britain. Both have rich histories in the series – Shedden as a three-time champion, Moffat as one of Scotland’s most exciting young talents – and Silverstone offers another chance for them to shine in front of thousands of fans.

With Chapman aiming to tighten her grip on the championship, Loggie pushing for her breakthrough, and Moffat and Shedden going door-to-door in BTCC, Silverstone promises to be an unforgettable weekend for Scottish motorsport.
