EcoRally Scotland returns next month!

On Thursday 22 and Friday 23 August, the Scottish Motor Racing Club (SMRC) will again be organising EcoRally Scotland.

Starting and finishing in Inverness, the route for this second edition totals about 420 miles and takes in much of the ‘North Coast 500’.

Following Registration and breakfast, day 1 will see crews heading north west towards Ullapool and then Lochinver for lunch. The afternoon follows the North Coast via Scourie, Durness and Tongue before an overnight halt in Thurso. On Friday morning crews will head south via Helmsdale to lunch in Golspie before returning to Inverness for a buffet dinner and presentation of awards.

Teams will need to record all check points within the given times and complete ‘regularity tests’ checking average speed along the route – precision navigating, problem solving and teamwork is the aim of the game!

Fully electric (BEV) or hybrid vehicles (HEV) are eligible plus ethanol or methane powered vehicles (E85/CNG/CBG). No modifications are required. Both driver and navigator will need a Motorsport UK RS Clubman Licence (or equivalent from another ASN).

Entries cost £495 per team of two, which includes meals on both days and accommodation in Thurso.
