28 September to 3 October 2027
It’s official! The FIA World Rally Championship is coming back to the UK, and for the first time, Scotland will host a round of the championship entirely on Scottish soil!
The inaugural Rally Scotland will take place from 28 September to 3 October 2027, bringing the world’s leading rally drivers, co-drivers, teams and manufacturers to the spectacular forest roads of north-east Scotland.
Based in Aberdeen, with its headquarters and service park at P&J Live, the event promises to be a landmark occasion for Scottish motorsport.
For the Scottish Association of Motor Sports Clubs and our member clubs, this is particularly exciting news.
Scotland has a proud rallying heritage, built on decades of commitment from competitors, organisers, officials, marshals and volunteers. The arrival of the World Rally Championship provides an extraordinary opportunity to showcase not only our roads and scenery, but also the skills, experience and enthusiasm of the Scottish motorsport community.
Behind every world-class rally is an enormous team of people making it happen, and Scottish clubs and volunteers will have an important part to play in bringing Rally Scotland to life.
And what a time for the WRC to return! With Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin newly crowned World Rally Champions, the prospect of welcoming British world champions to Scotland next October makes the occasion even more special.
Our congratulations go to everyone who has worked tirelessly to make Rally Scotland a reality.
The countdown is on. Scotland is ready to welcome the world!
