Border Ecosse Car Club
Each year Border Ecosse Car Club organises and promotes the Charterhall Stages and co-promotes the Jim Clark Memorial Rally. Other events we organise are The Sam Leitch Memorial Autocross, normally held near Sprouston, Kelso. As well as many Auto Tests, Scatter / Navigational events and family days out.
BECC were founded in the early 70s by a few car enthusiasts who had one thing in common – a passion for motor sport. This was hardly surprising considering Formula 1 Champion Jim Clark and Britain’s most successful long distance rally driver Andrew Cowan were both from the Duns area. Since then Border Ecosse Car Club have become a well supported club with over 150 members. We are very pleased that our Junior membership is ever growing.
