SUMMARY:Fractures: Recognition and Pre-Hospital Management
DESCRIPTION:This session looks at identifying fractures and managing them in the pre-hospital setting. It covers assessment\, immobilisation\, pain management considerations\, and minimising further injury during extrication and transport. \nThese online training sessions are primarily aimed at those involved in a first response role at incidents. \nEach session will last for around 90 minutes and you’ll receive a certificate as evidence of attendance. \nAttendance at these webinars counts towards that annual CPD commitment\, providing structured\, evidence-based learning that supports clinical and operational development. \nAs some of the seminars will be focused on the operational and medical issues with the response to the incidents\, the sessions are restricted to Motorsport UK licenced Medical\, Rescue and Recovery personnel in order to respect confidentiality. We appreciate that there are others who have an interest but given the nature of the discussion we do need to limit the attendance. Licence numbers will be verified before your registration is confirmed. \nRegister at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_Tp98Dz8pSW6JZENs2DuRuw \nShare this:

SUMMARY:SAMSC Club Development Day
DESCRIPTION:Building stronger Clubs starts with investing in the people behind them. The Scottish Association of Motor Sports Clubs is delighted to present the 2026 Club Development Day\, including the Association’s Annual General Meeting and an opportunity to hear from\, and discuss the future of Motorsport with Motorsport UK’s Chief Executive Hugh Chambers. \nThe SAMSC Club Development Day is a hands-on\, practical event designed to help you sharpen skills\, share ideas\, and take useful tools back to your Club. Whether you are running a committee\, delivering events\, supporting volunteers\, or telling your Club’s story\, this day is about building confidence\, providing clarity\, and creating momentum. You can choose the workshops that matter most to you\, mix and match across different streams\, and shape a development journey that fits your role and interests. This is an ideal opportunity for members of club committees\, events organising teams or members who might want to get engaged in club or event development work to develop their skills. \nExpect practical sessions\, honest conversations\, and templates you can use straight away. You will leave with clearer plans\, stronger connections\, and actionable ideas to help your Club thrive and grow motorsport within your community. \nOne day. Multiple streams. Practical outcomes. Let’s build skills\, strengthen Clubs\, and grow motorsport together. \nThe Club Development Day starts at 9am\, and runs to 5pm with lunch and refreshments provided. The AGM will follow after a short break at 5.30pm\, with opportunities to reflect on activity and turn discussion into action. \nWe are pleased to welcome Hugh Chambers\, Motorsport UK’s Chief Executive\, who will deliver a state of the nation update and answer your questions about where motorsport is now and where it is heading. This will follow the AGM after which dinner will be served making this an ideal opportunity to network and socialise with people from across the motorsport community. Hugh and the SAMSC Management Team will be joined by other colleagues from Motorsport UK to talk about Club development and the range of accreditations available. \nThe Club Development Day is a significant investment in Clubs across Scotland with workstreams on Running Your Club\, for committee members\, officers and anyone interested in governance\, leadership and long term planning; on Running Your Event\, for event organisers\, volunteers\, marshals and anyone involved in delivering safe successful events; and on Promoting Your Club and Events\, for members focused on communications\, sponsorship\, engagement and growing participation. We will be delighted to welcome as many of your members to the event as possible\, although voting at the AGM will of course be limited to the nominated representatives of your club. Your Association has been able to put together the funding to cover the majority of the investment for this event\, we have been able to offer the full Club Development Day\, including the evening session and dinner for only £17 per person. Further details of the individual sessions within each workstream will be available over the next few days\, in the meantime this is the opportunity to identify who in your club will benefit most from the day. \nRegister at https://forms.gle/cjQMj9vM4m9ZTTXL6 \nShare this:
